Spirit of '22. A Century of Muralism at San Ildefonso

From December 10, 2022 to June 12, 2023, the exhibition El espíritu del 22: A Century of Muralism in San Ildefonso,

celebrates the first centennial of the artistic avant-garde that emerged on the university campus (then home to the National Preparatory School), coinciding with its 30th anniversary as a museum space.

Works include those from Diego Rivera, Fernando Leal, Jean Charlot, Fermín Revueltas, Ramón Alva de la Canal, José Clemente Orozco, and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Together they constitute the mural legacy of San Ildefonso. Each is explored in detail with easel works, drawings, sketches, photographs, magazines, and videos.
