Barbie became a worldwide icon since its first appearance in 1959. She established a feminine standard of beauty and, at the same time, generated expectations for women to develop in fields that were exclusive to men.
The exhibition presents 169 dolls, installed in the gallery of the precinct, in their original everyday contexts. At least 80 of them have been adapted to revolutionary-era costume.
