At a time of global eco-crisis, Swiss artist Ursula Biemann proposes to rethink the epistemic roots of our relationship with the Earth. In her field research, she addresses the ecologies of forests and oil, as well as the consequences of extractivist projects on global ecosystems and climate. In her multi-layered videos, the artist weaves together vast cinematic landscapes with documentary images, science fiction poetry and academic findings to narrate a changing planetary reality.
